We didn't need another puppy, but.......
Do y'all remember my sweet little rat-terrier/chihuahua mix I had last year? Her name was Chloe, and she was run over right after we sold her first litter of pups. The female puppy, we sold to an 85-yr-old woman. Her son brought her to our house and got her to keep his mother company... well, the lady has become ill, and has to live in a nursing home... so her son called my mom (she cuts his hair) and asked if we would take her back... sooooooo, of course we didn't NEED another dog, but how could I say no? Mark has been wanting another dog for awhile, a house-dog that is HIS, remember how jealous he is of my bird? Well, when he came home and saw her, they fell in love... she even sleeps in our BED??!!??!! WHAT THE HECK???? I have never let a dog sleep in bed with me, but Mark's dogs always did- but I must admit, she is a very good girl, she doesn't move at all, or scratch, or lick, or make any noises at night- she was attached to the little old lady, and slept with her as well- so it has helped her adjust to her new home rather quickly... she is a lap-dog for sure, and she has gotten skinny in the last two days... she was hand-fed people food her whole life- she was fat two days ago... she won't touch the dry dog-food we are trying to feed her, and she's lost her baby-fat... she is so very adorable, Mark named her Daphne- her previous name was Princess, and Mark just can't make himself call her that- so- they have bonded- I'm trying to ignore her, or she will fall in love with me, and break Mark's heart. I have to make sure she likes him more! ~wink~

What a fantastic Saturday...
My cousin, Andrea, did a photo-shoot of Madison for her 14th birthday. Madison now has won six trophy saddles, and has never had a professional picture taken with all of them. She also brought all of her buckles along too; so I picked her up at 7am, and we headed on over to Providence Village. I had the honor of baby-sitting little Hannah Bean (more like playing dolls), she cooed and peed, and drank her bottle, and burped, and fell asleep on me- I GOT to change 3 diapers!!! And not ONE had poopy in it!!! Isn't she a good girl???!!! I had my own photo-shoot with her and my phone... I was about to take some of her big brother Luke (he's 3) but he went down for a nap, and didn't wake up until after we left. He is so sweet, his nurse read to him the whole time I was there, and he ate 3 bowls of baby food- he's getting so tall, and strong, and he is really talking up a storm!!! Then when Mad & Andrea got back, we got to see the pics as she downloaded them to her computer. She sent our favorite to me and it is posted below: it's a little teaser... we are so excited to see the rest... Andrea is AMAZING!! Very creative, and sweet to boot. You know how some people just ooze warmth, compassion, and love, and you just feel at home and at peace when you're around them? That's how I always feel at her house... She is available for any type of photos: babies, engagement photos, weddings, seniors, family reunions, pregnancy, you name it... her website link is on this blog- check her OUT!!!

Spring Break, so far...
Wyatt's mom just sent Mark the picture of him and the HUGE fish- he absolutely LOVES fishing- Mark always fills his Christmas stocking with fishing gear. The other picture is me, Mark and Blake on Sunday after we came back from riding in the creek!!! It was SCARY, EXCITING, SCARY, THRILLING, SCARY, EXHILARATING, AND did I say SCARY???!! They said we were going trail riding and I didn't need my helmet- WHATEVER!!!! I almost peed my pants a couple of times, and once I even jumped off of my 4-wheeler and made Mark drive it up this one hill that I was afraid of... but I eventually got brave and went right along with all the boys- got wet, muddy, stinky, it was a BLAST!!!!! I was wishing the whole time I had on a jog-bra, and I wished I had brought the camera so I would have proof of the creek being about 3 feet deep, and me going through it STANDING in the seat of my 4-wheeler- but there was no safe place to put a camera- so you'll just have to trust me!!! I also wished I was a guy- when they have to pee, they just hop off and whip it out right there- I had to completely undress and dangle my rear-end in the freezing cold!!! And my throat is sore from all the screaming I was doing- I couldn't control myself... I WAS SCARED- they were all laughing at me- but hey- I DID IT DANG IT!!!

Me & My Guy Dance '09
The first annual Me & My Guy Dance was last night. The Girl Scout Daisy troop we are in, wanted to have a party to celebrate our cookie sales, and to let the little girls have a special night with their dads. I made a fruit tray, and a bowl of watermelon balls. I also made Mark and Brad's bouttiniers. The troop leader, Amanda, had her 16-yr-old daughter D.J. All the dads put corsages on the girls; I had tears in my eyes, or a lump in my throat most of the night; it was SO CUTE!!! Victoria is definitely an entertainer; she was the ring-leader on the dance floor. When she asked what time the dance was over, and I told her eight, she said, "that's not fair, I want to dance all night!!!" Takes after her momma...

A virus among us.....
glitter-graphics.com
Brad called on Sunday to tell me Victoria had been throwing up- then Mad stayed home Monday with diarrhea- then yesterday we get a call from Sofie's teacher- she threw up on her DESK!!!! Mark said he almost didn't make it home in time to run to the toilet... so far, I haven't had any episodes... so Mark calls me at work yesterday to tell me that he is up to his elbows in vomit and diarrhea- running back and forth between the two bathrooms- Sofie hanging her head in one- Victoria blowing the bottom out of the other- and they are both screaming 'HELP ME MARK' he was trying to hold Sofie's hair out of her face, and then Victoria had a HUGE accident in her jeans before climbing on the toilet- it was down her legs, in the legs of her jeans- smeared all over the toilet seat- I'm trying not to laugh as I listen to him describing all of this horror... then I get scared, thinking 'he is going to be so mad' - but... that his not how he works- I must praise my husband- he truly loves being a dad so much- that in times like these- even this gross - he was just so happy that he was home to be able to take care of his girls when they needed him most- he put V's pants in the wash- put her in the shower- placed a wet washcloth on Sofie's forehead and put her in bed- V was dressed, hair brushed, happy as she could be when I got home- Sofie woke up feeling much better, and we all went to dinner to celebrate Maddie's birthday. We went to Armadillo Grill, and had a feast!!! I am in awe of my family... and so in love with my husband... AND... Victoria wrote a song for Maddie's b-day, and sang it for all of us when we got home from dinner- AND- she played the guitar while she sang- we got the whole thing on video- it was so adorable!!! I will learn how to post videos some day soon- (i hope)...
